Small Twined Basket Workshop

Workshop details

A one-day workshop with like-minded makers learning twined basketry skills and making a small hand-held basket using soft materials such as string, yarn and naturally dyed raffia. It’s a very relaxed day full of friendly chatter!

We’ll be looking at techniques for beginners such as creating a base, adding new weavers, and using colour to create stripes and pattern.

Materials and equipment will be provided, but please feel free to bring your own selection of strings and yarns to use if you’d like. It will be a small group of 6 students maximum. Tea, coffee and cake are included.
